Yes. STEM programs are highly recruited by area employers. STEM programs also offer extended Optical Practical Training (OPT) for International students.
At a minimum, you should meet the MS Programs admission requirements.
The average GMAT score of our Fall 2019 admitted students was 634. This would be considered a competitive score for admission. The average scores change from semester to semester based on the pool of candidates. Find the Jindal School codes for GMAT on the GMAT Codes webpage.
The average GRE score for our Fall 2019 admitted students was 311. The average scores change from semester to semester based on the pool of candidates. This is considered a competitive GRE score for admission. Our school code for GRE is R6897; department codes are not required.
Admission to the program occurs in the fall, spring and summer semesters.
For Fall 2019, we admitted 386 students into the program. Admitted students have an average GMAT score of 634. There is a diverse body of students in the program. Our students average two to three years of work experience before being admitted to the program. Many of our students already have a graduate degree. Several of our students are also pursuing a dual-degree program.

Non-JSOM students need to submit an admission application and will be processed as a new applicant to the Naveen Jindal School of Management under the current competitive standards. If you have a scholarship/assistantship in your current program, please consult with your current program director or area coordinator and then contact the Office of Admission and Enrollment if you have further questions.
If you have completed at least one semester at JSOM with a minimum of 3.3 GPA in your current program, you can apply to be admitted as a dual-degree candidate. If your current degree program is not at JSOM, but you have completed at least one semester with a minimum 3.3 GPA at a different graduate program at UT Dallas, you will need to meet JSOM MS degree program requirements to be admitted to the dual-degree program.
Students who are admitted to the MS in Business Analytics Flex program and have a high GMAT/GRE score and GPA should consider applying for the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship program. This is a highly competitive program that is open to both international and domestic students. International students who obtain the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship will pay the same tuition as Texas residents/U.S. citizens. See the Graduate Scholarships webpage to apply.
Students enrolling in the MS in Business Analytics Cohort or MS Business Analytics Cohort Online programs are not eligible for the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship. These students should visit their program webpages or director for specific scholarship opportunities associated with those programs.

You are expected to complete six core courses and six elective courses. The core courses include Statistics for Data Science ( OPRE 6359 ). All students complete an internship as part of the program. Alternatively, you can complete a semester-long practicum course that involves working on an actual scenario.
No. Students in the Flex program may choose to take courses from multiple tracks. Cohort and Cohort Online programs offer a focused set of electives appropriate to each program, while multiple elective tracks are offered in the Flex program. Students who wish to create their own mix of electives are encouraged to apply for the flex program and may choose courses from the various tracks offered in the Flex program.

- For the Financial Analytics Track, you will also need to complete one of either Financial Accounting (ACCT 6301) or Accounting for Managers ( ACCT 6305), and Financial Management (FIN 6301).
- For the Marketing Track, many courses require that you have completed a prerequisite of Marketing Management ( MKT 6301).
- Students in the MS in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Flex program may choose to take courses from multiple tracks. Students who wish to create their own mix of electives are encouraged to apply for the flex program and may choose courses from the various tracks offered in the Flex program.
- Cohort and Cohort Online programs offer a limited, focused set of electives appropriate to each program (Accounting Analytics in the Cohort program and Data Science in the Cohort and Cohort Online programs), while multiple elective tracks are offered in the Flex program.
- The Cohort Online program offers students the option of completing their degree 100% online from wherever they may be. The Cohort Online program offers a limited, focused set of electives appropriate to the program (Data Science). International students admitted to the MS Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Cohort Online program do NOT need to apply for a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019. These documents are not issued for online programs.
