Megha Chandrasekharan Nair

Megha Chandrasekharan Nair

Hello, I am Megha Chandrasekharan Nair, from the vibrant city of Bangalore, India. I started my Masters in Business Analytics at the University of Texas at Dallas in Spring 2024. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. After completing my undergrad, I began my professional journey as a front-end developer, which lasted approximately five years. It was through my professional career, I had an opportunity to witness the transformative impact of data in organizational contexts. I am currently equipping myself with the skills necessary to transition into roles that drive business decisions through analytical insights.
As a member of the BALC Mentorship Team, I am excited to learn from my peers and contribute to their success in the field of analytics. Beyond academia and professional pursuits, I find joy in dance and music, particularly as a trained Indian classical dancer. Furthermore, I love talking to people and I’m open to answering any of your queries or even just catching up over a small chat.

Jason Nguyen

Jason Nguyen

I am a graduate student studying business analytics with a focus on data science at the University of Texas at Dallas. I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and have a particular interest in data and analysis of said data. I am confident in my analytical experience as I have worked within a research lab and have organized large social events that have many revolving parts. I have an interest in analytic and presentation positions, human resources, and management. I am skilled in networking, organization, research, public relations, presentation, and have intermediate knowledge of R and PowerPoint.
You may wonder why a student previously studying psychology has pivoted towards business analytics. One of the aspects that initially drew me to psychology was its emphasis on data analysis and its application to real-life situations: how it revealed underlying reasons behind human behavior. However, when it came to potential career paths within psychology, I found them to be less appealing. I did not envision myself as a therapist or someone conducting extensive field studies. It gradually became clear to me that I had a genuine interest in delving into the intricacies of business, spanning from financial matters to managerial aspects. I recognized how my enthusiasm for social psychology and data analysis could be seamlessly integrated into the realm of business.

Prajwal Prahllad Rao Kulkarni

Hello! I’m Prajwal from the Silicon City of India – Bengaluru. My journey kicked off at a multi-national robotics and automation company called ABB, where I interned as a data scientist and later transitioned into a role as an R&D Engineer in Data Science and DevOps domain. With a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, my roots are firmly planted in the technical realm. I tackle data like a caffeine-charged operative, and my desk and calendar are organized with military-grade precision, adding a blend of passion and precision to the chaos.
But there’s more to me than just coding and spreadsheets. I’m that guy you’ll find screaming at the TV during a Manchester United soccer match. Whether it’s cheering for my favorite team or indulging in a fitness routine, I find joy in the balance between work and play.
Now, as a member of BALC, I’m excited to share the knowledge and support I received during my journey. Whether you’re curious about the program or simply want to chat about the weather in Texas, I’m here to lend a listening ear and offer guidance along the way.
