Senior BI Consultant, Visual BI Solutions

The MS in ITM program under the Enterprise Planning track at UTD has been a great learning experience for me. As an IT engineer, I worked in SAP Labs India as a Software Developer for 3 years. Being technically sound, I wanted to explore and grow my functional knowledge as well. Keeping this in mind and with my experience with SAP, MS-ITM in Enterprise System was the perfect platform for me to flourish in my career. The Enterprise Systems track is recommended for students interested in developing and managing large-scale applications and IT infrastructure.

After joining UTD in Fall 2015, I became a part of one of the student organizations – SAP Users’ Group (SUG) as the Newsletter Editor and Playground Session Organizer. I got an opportunity to share my technical knowledge with the other members of SUG in one of the playground sessions. Also, I published three Newsletter throughout the year which helped me to polish my writing and managing skills. I was promoted as the President of SUG in the next year which helped me to improve my leadership and networking skills.

With the help of all this learning at SUG, JSOM and the wonderful coursework, I got an opportunity to work as an Intern with Visual BI Solutions – SAP Partner. I am now working full-time with the same company as Senior BI Consultant.

Lastly, I would like to say that I am really grateful to all the faculties and advisors of JSOM – UTD especially Professor Lou Thompson – Faculty Advisor SUG for all the opportunities and support.
