Having a well-rounded experience in SAP domain, it was a conspicuous decision to join UT Dallas to pursue my career in Information Technology and Management. The ITM program offers flexible courses and constituted of different tracks. The Enterprise System track was a perfect fit for me which helped me to upraise my knowledge in various functional domains in SAP.

SAP USERS’ GROUP:
When I joined SUG as soon as I walked into UTD, I had only one thought from mind of getting more exposed into the world of SAP with the help of sessions and meetings. But to my surprise, I saw lot of folks from various other domains and technologies within SAP joined the group and I started learning by just interacting with the folks around me. It was a very fruitful decision to join the Elite Group of technologists which helped me to widen my knowledge with respect to the SAP world. To thrive or even survive in the world of SAP which is so vast and different enterprises have different types of applications and combinations of tools building out their ecosystem, you would definitely have to keep yourself updated about everything that’s going on in & around SAP – I would say, SUG is a place that can get you the exact same kind of exposure. After actively engaging myself in the organization, the honour of serving as the Vice President of Logistics for SUG is an icing on the cake. The kind of enthusiastic team I got to work with was the best part.

SAP S/4 HANA TS410 Certification:
Becoming an SAP-certified associate was a dream for any individual and the University of Texas, Dallas has given me this opportunity last spring. Having worked for several years in SAP ABAP, I joined UTD for masters and engaged myself to learn more about the SAP functional modules. I have completed MIS 6319 and MIS 6332 under Professor Lou Thompson. Later in Spring semester, I enrolled in SAP TS410 certification – Integrated Business Process in ERP on S4/HANA. The two-week training program was really engaging and essential to gain an understanding of the various business processes involved in SAP. Professor Lou Thompson and Professor Srinivasan Raghunathan orchestrated the training program and provided adequate guidance to the students. Though the schedule was hectic, at the end of the day, the course has provided me with the essential knowledge that will help me become an SAP consultant in the future.

Teaching Assistant:
I would especially like to thank Dr. Lou Thompson who gave me opportunities to work under him as Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, ERP Lab Volunteer and stood by my side throughout my time at JSOM. Working with him made me grow academically as well as professionally and inspired me to become a well-rounded human being.

ITM Impact Award 2020:
The best thing happened so far is to get a prestigious compliment in a form of an Award from UT Dallas ITM department.

Last but not the least, I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude towards Professor Lou Thompson, Professor Mark Thouin, and Professor Gaurav Sekhar for their continuous support and guidance without which my journey would not become so momentous. I will cherish each and every moment spent here at UT Dallas throughout my life.
