After taking a class on information technology for business applications during my sophomore year at UTD, I was intrigued by the power of data in decision-making. The concept of data-driven decision-making was something I had never been exposed to in my other coursework. After just one class, I was inspired to switch my major to Business Analytics. My time in the program has equipped me with valuable skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking, enabling me to translate data insights into strategic business decisions effectively. I am confident that the skills I have honed and developed while participating in the program have built a strong foundation for my future career while navigating the dynamic business landscape. The Business Analytics program is also well-equipped with knowledgeable and helpful faculty and staff who are always ready to provide guidance and support students in their pursuit of excellence. Both inside and outside of the classroom, this major offered me several unique opportunities for growth and learning, from engaging in projects with real-world applications to participating in industry-sponsored competitions.

The Bachelor’s in Information Technology and Systems (ITS) program is a unique blend of technical and business curriculum. This STEM designated degree program provides students with practical and theoretical training in information technology. The Master’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program (BUAN) is a 36 semester credit hour STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) designated degree program. This highly-ranked program provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to pursue careers involving a wide variety of data science, data engineering, and data analytics roles within a number of business domains.

The Master’s in Information Technology and Management (ITM) program is a 36 semester credit hour STEM designated degree program ranked 17th in the US by US News and World Report. The MS ITM degree prepares students for careers as IT professionals working in a variety of industries and roles. The program features a state of the art curriculum, online or class room delivery options, and the ability to complete the degree on a full-time or part time basis.
