Professional Program in Computer Information Systems & Technology (PPIT)
The Professional Program in Computer Information Systems & Technology (PPIT) is an exclusive program tailored for the highest-achieving students in the CIS Tech major. As the largest academic program in the Jindal School of Management (JSOM), CIS Tech selects its most distinguished students to participate in PPIT. This program provides participants with valuable resources and opportunities to enhance their career prospects.

Application Information
Our next application cycle begins in Spring 2026. The submission deadline is November 30th, 2025.
- Active CIS Tech or ITS student
- 3.25+ cumulative UTD GPA
- By Spring 2026 you must have completed both ITSS 3300 (IT for Business) and ITSS 3311 (Intro to Programming) or have completed one and be enrolled in the other.
- Graduation planned for Fall 2026 or later.

Student Application
Applications for the Professional Program in Computer Information Systems & Technology (PPIT) will be open November 1st through November 30th, 2025. To be considered, applicants must complete the application form and have an ITSS instructor submit an Instructor Recommendation Survey by November 30th.
