Join the Professional Program in Computer Information Systems & Technology
The Professional Program in Computer Information Systems & Technology (PPIT) is tailored for high-achieving CIS Tech and ITS students, giving them the tools and access needed to elevate their career prospects. Participating students refine their professional development acumen and expand their technical qualifications. They do so by engaging with top employers, gaining valuable project experience, receiving guidance and support for pursuing technical certifications and professional exams; all of which equips PPIT graduates for the dynamic tech landscape.
Students who meet the entry requirements and are interested in seizing the chance to engage and network with a community of like-minded peers, their faculty, relevant industry professionals, employers and successful alumni are welcome to apply when recruitment is open.
Minimum Requirements for Applicants
- Active CIS Tech or ITS student
- At least a 3.25 cumulative GPA
- By the start of the Fall 2024 semester, students must have completed both, or have completed one and be enrolled in the other: ITSS 3300 IT for Business and ITSS 3311 Intro to Programming
- Estimated Graduation Spring 2025 or later

NOTE: PPIT students must leave Fridays 12-1 p.m. open on their Fall 2024 course schedule.
PPIT Application for Fall 2024 Entry
Applications for students entering the PPIT in the Fall 2024 semester will be accepted March 1 – 31, 2024.
