The Master of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (MS BUAN) program is a 36 semester-credit-hour STEM-designated (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) degree program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. This highly ranked program provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to pursue careers involving a wide variety of data science, data engineering and data analytics roles within several business domains. The MS BUAN students learn marketable skills that today’s employers are seeking.

The degree program consists of a set of core courses and a set of electives organized into tracks. In addition to teaching the core analytics concepts covering descriptive, prescriptive and predictive analytics, courses cover tools like SAS, R, Python, Hadoop, Stata and Tableau. The Jindal School offers students three ways to complete their MS in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence:

MS Business Analytics and
Artificial Intelligence Flex

Choose from 11 different tracks, including Data Science, Data Engineering and more. Scholarship recipients and TA/RAs would be eligible for in-state tuition, which amounts to 50% of the tuition.

MS Business Analytics and
Artificial Intelligence Cohort

Choose from 2 tracks – Data Science or Accounting Analytics. Scholarships worth $15,000 are available for deserving candidates. No In-state tuition benefits are available.

MS Business Analytics and
Artificial Intelligence Online Cohort

Focused on Data Science. Classes are available 100% online. Scholarships worth $15,000 are available for deserving candidates.

This flexible program allows students to complete the MS in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence at their own pace.

Students who choose the Flex format have the freedom to pick courses that enable them to pursue opportunities in specialized areas of business analytics and artificial intelligence. At the Jindal School, our students can select elective courses from the following tracks:

MS in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Cohort

The MS in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Cohort program engages students focused on data science or accounting analytics.

The Data Science Track in the cohort program is designed to prepare students for work as data scientists.

The Accounting Analytics Track in the cohort program is designed for students from various educational backgrounds, but primarily accounting. Students in the Accounting Analytics Cohort have the option of completing an additional degree – the MS in Accounting. A limited set of electives focused on the student’s selected track are offered in the cohort programs.

The Accounting Analytics Track is offered in a face-to-face cohort program on campus, while the Data Science Track may be completed in either a face-to-face cohort program on campus or in an online cohort program. Special tuition, fees and admissions requirements apply, and the program is supported entirely by participant tuition/fees. Admission to the program occurs in the fall, spring and summer semesters.

These cohort options are uniquely positioned to address the skill demands of industry for these highly sought-after data science and analytical accounting jobs.
