Hey Folks… This is Bhargav. I am a Fall 2023 master in Business Analytics student at The University of Texas at Dallas. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from India and have worked as a Data Engineer for almost four years in various industries such as Energy, Investment banking, and food & beverage. During my work experience, I became fascinated with the world of analytics and realized its immense potential. This realization led me to pursue further studies in this domain, and I am thrilled to be a part of UTD. As a BALC member, I aim to contribute towards the growth and success of my fellow students. Data, numbers, and a good challenge—these are what keep me going! Hi, I’m Vidhi Agarwal, and I’m pursuing my MS in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence at UT Dallas. With a background in finance from my undergraduate studies, I come from a non-technical space, but that hasn’t stopped me from delving deep into the world of data. I’ve worked across finance and research roles, designing automated inventory management systems, conducting market analysis, and building interactive dashboards to drive business decisions. Hi there! I’m Arbbaz Alif, originally from Chennai, India, a city known for its varied culture and rich traditions. I spent the early part of my childhood in Qatar, which gave me the opportunity to experience and appreciate diverse cultures. I came to JSOM in Fall 2024 to pursue my passion for business analytics, a field that first intrigued me during my internship, where I discovered the impact of data-driven decision-making. While my background isn’t heavily technical, I’ve gained meaningful experience and am eager to deepen my expertise in this rapidly evolving field. Beyond academics, I’m a car enthusiast, a drummer, and someone who loves meeting new people. Nurul Chowdhury

Hello Everyone! I am Nurul, a mature MSBA flex student at UTD who started his journey this Spring, 2025. I did my first Masters in Banking and Finance in the UK prior to 2010. Then, I became a Certified Credit Analyst (CCP) in 2016, followed by my latest postgrad diploma in Business Analytics in 2023 from Humber College, Canada, where I comprehended different Data Analytics Programming tools and Visualizations. Although I grew up in London (England) and subsequently settled in Toronto (Canada), my parental origin is in South Asia (India and Bangladesh). I also lived in Dubai for over 5 years as a banker. Travelling across multiple countries and mingling with diverse cultures gave me a unique opportunity to interact with a cross-section of both domestic and international students. Via mentorship, I look forward to serving newcomers and returnees by sharing my ideas, experiences, and tips from an academic and multicultural perspective. The Bachelor’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence prepares students to solve analytics problems embedded in a business context. BS Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

The Bachelor’s in Information Technology and Systems (ITS) program is a unique blend of technical and business curriculum. This STEM designated degree program provides students with practical and theoretical training in information technology. Graduates from the program are in high demand because of their diverse technical skill set and their ability to understand how technology affects business processes.

The Master’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program (BUAN) is a 36 semester credit hour STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) designated degree program. This highly-ranked program provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to pursue careers involving a wide variety of data science, data engineering, and data analytics roles within a number of business domains.

The Master’s in Information Technology and Management (ITM) program is a 36 semester credit hour STEM designated degree program ranked 17th in the US by US News and World Report. The MS ITM degree prepares students for careers as IT professionals working in a variety of industries and roles. The program features a state of the art curriculum, online or class room delivery options, and the ability to complete the degree on a full-time or part time basis.
